Semana 5

Today is a big day. Today I have officially been a missionary for 1 month. And wow did it go by super fast. It feels like just yesterday was when I was set apart. I have loved every minute of being a missionary so far. I feel so close to the spirit all the time and I am just constantly happy. I only have 23 months left and if they all go by this fast then it's going to go by super fast. There is nowhere else I'd rather be right now. I do really miss the food at home right now though haha. The food here is good, but it's nothing compared to the smoked tri tip my Dad makes though.     I've seen a massive jump in my Spanish this last week. Yesterday, we did another only Spanish day, and honestly it was pretty easy. There is a ton I don't know how to say but I was able to find other ways to say it most of the time. I've also completely abandoned my English scriptures and preach my gospel. I can understand everything my teachers say now and what they say in the devot...

¡México!

Wow what a crazy, fun, exciting, crazy week! Mexico has been an absolute blast. It has been filled with many spiritual experiences. I have been able to feel Heavenly Fathers love for me constantly. If you are worried about me, just don't be because I would much rather be here than in the States right now. Sorry guys. I truly feel like México is my home now.      After about 14 hours of traveling last Tuesday we made it. We had like a 6 hour layover in Dallas. We had traveled with a group of about 10 missionaries. While we were in the airport we decided to all read the Book of mormon together. It was super loud in the airport , but as soon as we started reading, it got really quiet. And after we finished it was just as loud as normal again. It was a really cool experience. I made it through security just fine, despite not being able to understand a thing they were saying.     It was suuuuuper fun meeting my district in person finally. We have grown super close to...

Mi Primera Semana!

Hello everyone! I'm just wrapping up my first week as a missionary. It has been absolutely wonderful! Being able to always be dedicated to Christ is an amazing feeling. My district is so fun. We're all so supportive of each other. I can't wait to meet them all in person. My companion Elder Robb is awesome! He is so dedicated and hardworking. He is a great example to me. The Spanish is coming along well, I think. I've made a lot of progress this week. I've learned how to pray, share my testimony, and just have a normal conversation in Spanish. I've improved a lot, but there is still a lot of work to be done! I feel tired like all the time haha. It has been a difficult transition going from a regular teenager sleep schedule to a missionary schedule. Honestly, I'm a little tired of sitting in my office all day and I can't wait to finally get to Mexico and learn in person. But, It's been a fantastic week overall! I love being a missionary already.     Mo...
