Baptisms

What's up everyone!!! I hope you all had a fantastic week!!! This week was probably the best week of my mission so far. To start off, we had the baptism of Karen and Noelia. The spirit was literally so strong it was unbelievable. I love this family so much. I'm so grateful I get to be a part of their lives. They are so happy and it is so crazy to see how the gospel has completely changed their lives. Their brothers also want to get baptized but need to go to church a few more times. Karen and Noelia didn't want to wait for them because they were so excited. But yeah, we went to their house the day after and they were all sharing their testimonies with us and my heart literally just melted. We were all crying and it was amazing. Then on Saturday. We had the baptism of Andrea and Gabriel. We found them like a month ago and they came to church 3 times and got baptized. They were literally so ready. The whole family is reactivated now and super excited to go to the temple toget...

Muchas Fechas

What's up y'all!? I hope you all are super good. So this week was really good. Ngl it was a little boring haha. We didn't do a whole lot. Many times all of our plans fell through and we just walked around looking for people to teach. But we were able to put 4 people on date this week which was absolutely amazing. Two of them were the brothers of the 2 sisters who are getting baptized. I'm going to take a sec to talk about the Florencio family: The parents got baptized 17 years ago and went inactive 3 years after. The missionaries passed for their house hundreds of times and got rejected. Until the very beginning of my time here (like 5 months ago) when they let us in. The mom told us that they would never return. But we kept going and we found out they had a bunch of doubts. So we invited them to pray. And we continued going to their house for about 5 months. It had been such a great example to me to see this family search answers through prayer and press forward with f...

I Got Robbed

So this week was pretty nuts lol.  So it was tuesday and it was just a normal day and we were walking home. A guy in the street asked me what time it is. I looked down from my watch and the guy had a huge machete and told me to give him the phone with the knife pointed to my chest. So we gave him the phone and he ran off. So that was a fun experience. But yeah we didn't have a phone for like the whole week so I don't have any photos this week. Sorry  But that's about all that happened this week. We just worked like crazyyy. We put a few more people on date, we had 10 people come to church and we found a ton of new people.  We have had a crazy last 2 weeks. Getting attacked by dogs, stitches, robberies, sicknesses and much much more. It really seems like Satan is doing everything possible to stop us. But he wont lol. We have a ton of baptisms coming up so stay tuned. I love this work so much. I know for sure that he is guiding me to the people who are ready to hear his mes...

A Very Crazy Week

So yeah this week was nuts so I'll just jump right into it Tuesday: On Tuesday we had exchanges and I went to another area. When we arrived, the key to the house of the other elders broke so we had to go around to the back door. But then my comp hit his head on the AC unit thing outside and started bleeding everywhere. So we went to the hospital lol. Thursday: We went to Asunción for a conference with half of the mission with a 70 named elder Costa. He talked a lot about the missionary purpose and the doctrine of Christ. It was really cool and I learned a lot. Then we went to the hospital again because my comp needed a tetanus shot.  Friday: We had the wedding and baptism of Sergio and Lisbeth. For anyone who's been paying attention to my emails knows how crazy this is. It was a super long process, but they are so happy. I'm really excited for them. I've seen their lives change in big ways from our first visit with them. But yeah. They showed up like 10 minutes late to ...
