Nuts Week

Image
This week was crazy. It all started with our neighbors going off to Asunción without telling us, and we slowly ran out of food. To make things worse, we ran out of gas and had no way to get more. So we've been living off ham and cheese sandwiches. Haven't eaten anything else. The other day, a massive snake entered our house, and we had to kill it. I pinned it down and sliced its head off with a butter knife. It was pretty great. We had a zone conference, and it was so fun. We had interviews with the president, and it's always a good time. We got to do exchanges with the APs after, and I was with my MTC comp Elder Robb. It was sick to be with him, and we had an awesome lesson about the plan of salvation. We had the baptism of Alexander. It was a nice experience for everyone. Got to have a huge BBQ last night to celebrate Christmas. This may have been the best Christmas of my life. It was nothing like Christmas, but for the reason that I have come to know my Savior better. I ...

Transfers

Pretty good week this week. Some crazy spiritual experiences. We had transfers, and I stayed here and got Elder Oler from Canada. Pretty cool guy. After last P-day, every missionary in the district stayed in an area called Filadelfia to work because they were struggling a lot. I was with another elder not from the area, so they just sent us to a neighborhood of Paraguayos that they'd never worked in. And holy cow, that place is the promised land. Filled with people who have never heard the missionaries. That night, in 3 hours, we found nearly 20 people. It was crazy. I've never been led by the spirit like that in my life. The next day, we stayed and did normal exchanges, and we went to the same neighborhood. We found another 10 people; it was nuts. Filadelfia now has baptismal dates, so it paid off. Leria got baptized!! And their parents want to get married so they can get sealed. Super cool. We have a lot of friends progressing, and most of them are Paraguayans. But sadly, non...

Baptismal Dates

What's up, everyone! This week was a great week. Man, I'm tired. We worked like crazy this week. Work is going great. Kind of feel like Ammon from the Book of Mormon. I just feel super happy. We had a lot of people come to church, and we put baptismal dates with two new families. This week we entered the first lesson with an inactive member and his 21-year-old son. I felt very strongly to invite him to be baptized, and he said yes. Then his dad yelled at us for trying to force him to do it. It was pretty funny. But yeah, we have a lot of great people that are progressing well. I can't remember anything that happened this week, so I'll just leave it at that. Thanks for your love and support!
