General Authority, Baptisms And More!!

Hey everyone. Sorry for not writing last week. It's harder and harder every week to find the will to write haha. But I'll give a brief report of these last two weeks.

Elder Christiansen of the Seventy came to our mission, and it was an amazing experience. He talked a lot about the spirit and magnifying our callings. It was a great time. I also got to have an interview with him, and it was scary but a good experience haha.

Monica and Natalia got baptized!!! They are both amazing and have great stories. We found Monica like 4 months ago when my last companion biffed it hard on his bike, and she came out from her house to help us. With some problems with the commandments and other things, she couldn't get baptized until this week, but she has completely changed, and I've loved being able to teach her. Her family came to the baptism and liked it, so I hope they can also make the decision soon. Natalia was the girlfriend of a completely inactive member that was always drunk. But as we taught her, her boyfriend stopped drinking and completely turned his life around. He'll be getting the Melchizedek Priesthood soon. But yeah, we helped 3 couples get married too. Monica, Natalia, and a couple of members. We woke at the crack of dawn and crammed everyone into the back of a tiny truck and went like 10 miles to a random Mennonite community. The weddings are super funny here. They just go in the judge's office, and he just says, "just sign here" then rushes us out. So it took like 5 min to get 3 couples married haha.

We've been working like crazy, but sadly, so has Satan. We were going to have 8 baptisms this weekend, but a lot of them started having cold feet and doubts, and others fell into old habits right before. To make this worse, there was a huge storm Sunday morning so no one came to church. Luckily, Monica and Natalia did to get confirmed. But yeah, sadly we have 0 baptismal dates at the moment. But we have great friends, and hopefully, we can help them out so they can get baptized soon.

I have absolutely loved being in Abundancia. It's a place that has touched my heart forever. We have transfers in 2 weeks, and I'll probably leave after 6 months here, and it makes me sad to just think about.

I love you all!! See you next week.
