Ciaocito 2023
Well, 2023 came and went, and whoa, what a year! I was a missionary for the whole year, and it's a year I will never ever forget. I've learned so much and grown as a person. I've grown much closer to my Savior, and I've learned to merge my will with His. I love Him, and I love the work. I can't imagine coming home; the only thought of it actually hurts. But it's coming soon, unfortunately. I already have 18 months.
I spent Christmas night sick and throwing up, but we were able to buy food and gas, so we're chilling now.
Osvaldo and Dadi (yes, that's his real name) got baptized!! It was such a sweet moment, and more than 100 people came to support. He's been meeting with the missionaries for 7 years, and he finally got baptized. Him and his wife also got married on Friday. They're just such a sweet family. I love them so much.
We found a Mennonite German lady!!! This was nuts. Those who have worked in the Chaco know they never have interest. But she's super interested and wants us to teach her and come to church. It's mind-boggling. There's not a single Mennonite member in the whole Chaco, and it would be nuts if we could baptize her. We have several families that are progressing well. We are progressing to be able to open a branch in Loma Plata, and it'll be sick.
