Rain And Thanksgiving
Hey everyone! Pretty great week this week.
This week I feel super grateful for the blessings I have. Being in an area with super humble people has completely changed my perspective on my life. I don't think I'll be able to complain about anything ever again. I'm so grateful for my savior Jesus Christ, and I'm so grateful to be a part of such a great family with great circumstances.
It was Thanksgiving, and we had a BBQ with our neighbors, and it started pouring. Nobody had more water here, and we're all freaking out; they were about to die, but it rained so much that all the ponds filled up.
But yeah, our house flooded, and we had to run at midnight in a river of water to go sleep in the church. Define a Thanksgiving I'll never forget. The rain has continued until today.
But all the rain didn't slow down the work; we still worked like crazy, and many of our friends came to work surprisingly. We had a family of 5 Paraguayans (or non-indigenous people) that have come twice now. We also put our friend on a date who's been exploring the church for 10 years now and finally decided to be baptized. We should have many baptisms in December.
