The Chaco

What's up everyone! I hope you're all doing super well.

So we had transfers this week, and I got transferred to a place called Abundancia. It's in a place called the Chaco in Northern Paraguay. It's a wild area in the middle of nowhere. It's a desert, and I'm in an indigenous community with a people called the Nivacle. It's absolutely wild. They only speak Nivacle, and it's really humbling to be here with them. There are a lot of animals like spiders and snakes and stuff. So yeah, it's pretty crazy. My new comp is Elder Bigelow. He's pretty cool. He's from Idaho and only has a bit of time in the mission.

We have a bunch of friends who'll get baptized this month, which is cool. The people here are all suuuuuper shy but have a ton of interest. We taught a couple yesterday, and they didn't say a single word the whole lesson. At the end, we asked if they have a question, and they said, "yes, when can we get baptized?" It was pretty wild. We also have to teach with a translator because no one understands us.

Conference was absolutely amazing. I had to travel by bus the two nights before, and not going to lie, I was suuuuuper tired and slept a bit, haha. But I'm going to rewatch this week.

So yeah, it's been a pretty great week. Still haven't taken any pictures here, but next week for sure. Thanks for everything!
