Baptism, Heat, And Crazy Ladys

Sup everyone! Had a crazy week this week.

First, we had the baptism of Canchichi, or Emanuel. He's the grandson of our branch president, and he's super excited. His parents are also very interested and might accept a date very soon. The baptism went really well. However, when we went in the morning to fill up the font, it turned out that a rat had died in the tank, and the water made the church stink. So, we cleaned up and called the firefighters to come and fill it. We waited and waited, but they didn't come. It turns out that there's no water in PJC, so they couldn't come. We changed the location to a different church, and it got delayed by several hours. The baptism ended up starting at around 8:30, but it was all good.

Another cool experience: I went on an exchange with one of the DLs of our zone. They had a friend who was supposed to get baptized the next day, but due to some problems, he didn't feel ready for baptism, so they canceled it. However, during the exchange, we went to visit him, and he said that he felt ready and wanted to get baptized the next day. So, I conducted the interview right there on the spot. The only problem was that the guy only spoke Guarani. They offered to call a member to assist me in the interview, but I declined, and we conducted the interview without any issues. We understood each other perfectly, and the spirit was very strong. He got baptized the next day. It was a super cool experience.

I also had about five ladies tell me they want to get married to me this week. That was surprising but kind of funny. It's extremely hot here, which worries me because I'm in the least hot area of the mission. We have transfers this week, so we'll see what happens.

Love you all! Have a great week.
