La Navidad!!!! .... And Sickness
Hello everyone how's it going! I hope you all had a great Christmas. This was a really great week and it was farrr from normal.
So I woke up Tuesday morning feeling very sick. I threw up and I continued to throw up like every 15 min throughout the day. I tried drinking a tiny bit of water and nothing was staying down. So I got super dehydrated and had to go the Hospital. It was kind of scary going to the hospital in Paraguay but everything turned out good. They gave me and iv and was chillin. Anyway Wednesday I still felt a little sick so we didn't work.
Thursday we had Zone Conference and it literally was like a giant Christmas party with the President. There was singing and dancing and presents and everything. It was suuuuper fun.
Friday we finally got to work and we were super blessed with some miracles. We found 2 people who have potential to get baptized and we found a lot of of other people as well. We weren't able to pass by the people who have a date this week so that was pretty difficult.
And Saturday was absolutely wild. On Paraguay they don't celebrate Christmas on the 25th but on the 24th. They party and stay up 12 waiting. So our mission president gave us permission to stay out until 1 in the morning. It was absolutely wild. We went to a party with a few members and ate asado (bbq) sang, danced, and everything. It was suuuuper fun. And then at midnight the world just exploded with fireworks. It was more like the 4th of July than anything haha.
This Christmas was honestly one of the best of my life. Yes I was far away from family. No I didn't really get any presents at all. Yes I did get sick, but my testimony of the savior has grown immensely this Christmas. The spirit I have felt is undeniable. I have learned so much about the life of Christ and his role in the plan of Salvation, and I have grown my personal relationship with him. I hope you all had these spiritual experiences as well.
