Argentina Won The Cup!

Hey everyone! How's it going? I hope you are all doing great. This week was a really great week. 

 

 

I had a lot of experiences with English this week. I met a guy from paraguay but lives in London. He has a British and Paraguay accent mixed and it's super funny. The lessons are really weird because we speak in Spanish and English so yeah. We taught English to a lot of members this week and they absolutely love it. It's so funny listening to them speak. There's actually a few families here that are preparing to move to Utah so that's cool.

 

 

Our friends are all progressing really well. We got our friends Sergio and Lizbeth on date to be baptized. We met them a week ago and on our second visit they asked us if they could get baptized. I literally haven't met anyone so ready for my mission. They're already asking questions like why they can be missionaries like us or why the heck they have to wait a year to be sealed in the temple. Really good stuff. They're going to get baptized here in a few weeks. We have a few other people who are progressing and could receive a date this week but we'll see what happens. It is really amazing to see how the gospel can change people's lives. I've seen really big changes in people in a short amount of time as they learn more and commit to follow the commandments.

 

 

Also, big shout out to Argentina for winning the cup!!! Everyone here in Paraguay went absolutely nuts that day. There were fireworks and yelling and parties all day long haha.

 

 

This week we had a devotional together as a mission. Our president talked a lot about the atonement. It really helped me understand the atonement better and the role of Jesus Christ in our lives. I invite you all to take a bit of time this week before Christmas to study a little about the atonement. As I've studied more about it this month I've found my understanding of it growing so much and my testimony in Jesus Christ being fortified.

 

 

But yeah besides that, it was a really normal week. Sorry again for taking no pictures. I promise I will start doing better. But have a great week everyone!!!

2 Exchanges

Hello everyone! How's it going? I hope you all had a great week this week. I had a really great week. Nothing too crazy or out of the norm, just working like crazy as usual. This week I got to do 2 exchanges which was awesome. I love doing exchanges because I learn so much and I build relationships with other missionaries. We had an exchange with a companionship called Yvy ja'u which means we eat dirt in guarani. I stayed here in pjc but Saturday morning I had to leave at like 4 in the morning to go pick up my companion and then come back. That took like 8 hours in total and I was completely dead the whole day haha. So basically all of our friends that were progressing are now not progressing, and so we had to drop like 15 people at the start of this week. That was kind of discouraging but we kept working and man did the Lord bless us. We contacted a guy in the street and he told us that he had never heard of the missionaries before but his cousin is a member and he had interes...
