The Census And Elder Renlund

Hey everyone! I hope you all had a great week! Because I sure did.

 

 

The first thing that happened this week is Paraguay had their census which only happens every 10 years. It was crazy because when they have the census, it's illegal to leave your house. So we had to stay inside the entire day. We tried really hard to call everyone but no one really wanted to talk to us. I guess they were all enjoying their day off. But yeah that was really fun. We cooked a lot of food. Also, we have a pet cat. He always finds a way into our house and we're not really sure how but it's funny.

 

 

The next thing is that Elder Renlund came to the mission! Both of the missions in Paraguay met together so there were like 400 missionaries all together. It was really cool. But wow was it an amazing experience. The spirit in the room was unbelievable as he testified of Christ's love for us. His words just rang with truth. I'm not supposed to really talk about what he talked about, not sure why, but he talked a lot about the power and authority that I have. In my calling as a missionary and how the savior is very grateful for my service. Hearing that come from a man that is a representative of Christ was so powerful. I really felt it. But yeah I actually got to shake his hand and talk to him just for a few seconds but that was way cool. I've never been so motivated on my mission haha.

 

 

Besides that, it was a pretty regular week. Just working and working, and working some more. We found more people than I ever have in a day yesterday so that was pretty cool. We were walking in the street and they invited us to come play volleyball, so we did and shared a short message and they were very interested. They're a family of 10. 

 

 

Our friends are progressing well. The family that was going to be baptized on the 26th didn't come to church because it was raining so we have to move the date of some of them to the next week so that was kind of a bummer. And we have some more people we can put on date this week.

Hello everyone! How's it going? I hope you all had a great week this week. I had a really great week. Nothing too crazy or out of the norm, just working like crazy as usual. This week I got to do 2 exchanges which was awesome. I love doing exchanges because I learn so much and I build relationships with other missionaries. We had an exchange with a companionship called Yvy ja'u which means we eat dirt in guarani. I stayed here in pjc but Saturday morning I had to leave at like 4 in the morning to go pick up my companion and then come back. That took like 8 hours in total and I was completely dead the whole day haha. So basically all of our friends that were progressing are now not progressing, and so we had to drop like 15 people at the start of this week. That was kind of discouraging but we kept working and man did the Lord bless us. We contacted a guy in the street and he told us that he had never heard of the missionaries before but his cousin is a member and he had interes...
