Pigs Head

Haupei a todos! Espero que todod hayan tenido una buena semana! This week was pretty average for me, nothing too crazy. It was just sooo hot. Especially these last two days. It's only like 90ish degrees but the sun is always super bright and it's super humid. The Paraguayans love it so it's great for us haha. 

 

 

This week two really sad things happened. One is we had to stop teaching our friends vacilia and alfredo. The wife told us in a lesson that she wants to get baptized really bad. But her husband said no. Her husband also has Parkinson disease and it's just a really tough situation. As we had the last chat, she gave us her testimony about how she has faith that one day she will be able to get baptized, but she was super sad. Man my heart just felt like it was breaking. We were just all crying. But I know that God has a perfect plan and that she will get her chance someday. I probably won't be here to see it, but I know that the plan is perfect and that brings me so much peace.

 

 

The other thing is that the family that has a date didn't come to church yesterday. We aren't sure why but we now have to move the date back. The parents are members but less active. But the dad literally quit his job to be able to come to church now so we hope that will help the situation. The Mom doesn't really want anything to do with the church so that's a little hard.

 

 

But yeah besides these two major setbacks, we just kept working and we found 2 families with some real major potential. So we'll see what happens.

 

 

My experience this week really reminded me of an eternal truth. That our life's are filled with setbacks. Every single day. We all have bad experiences, will all sin, and we're all going to die someday. So how lucky we are that God sent his only begotten son Jesus Christ "to save the world from their sins." He suffered and died so that he can help us return to our heavenly father. Because of him, we can all live again. 

 

 

But yeah that's about it for this week. I ate pig head yesterday so that was cool. But yeah I hope you all have a fantastic week trying to remember the savior as Christmas is approaching!! Ciao!!

Hello everyone! How's it going? I hope you all had a great week this week. I had a really great week. Nothing too crazy or out of the norm, just working like crazy as usual. This week I got to do 2 exchanges which was awesome. I love doing exchanges because I learn so much and I build relationships with other missionaries. We had an exchange with a companionship called Yvy ja'u which means we eat dirt in guarani. I stayed here in pjc but Saturday morning I had to leave at like 4 in the morning to go pick up my companion and then come back. That took like 8 hours in total and I was completely dead the whole day haha. So basically all of our friends that were progressing are now not progressing, and so we had to drop like 15 people at the start of this week. That was kind of discouraging but we kept working and man did the Lord bless us. We contacted a guy in the street and he told us that he had never heard of the missionaries before but his cousin is a member and he had interes...
