I'm A Brazilian Alligator Hunter. And Conferencia

Muy buenos días a todos! This week was absolutely wonderful! So I'll just jump right into it. Sorry, this one will be a bit long.

So these past 2 weeks my Spanish has improved soooo much. I can understand nearly 100% of what I hear now which is crazy because when I arrived it was literally 0%. I can talk super well now but definitely not perfectly which led to some funny things this week. First off, like three people mistook me as a Brazilian. I have no idea how, but they say that I sound like a Brazilian when I talk. At least I don't sound American haha. Next, we were at the branch president's house when I accidentally told him that I was an alligator hunter before the mission. Everyone started freaking out like "oh that's so cool" and I was so confused because I thought that I said that I like to fish. I just thought that fishing just isn't common in Paraguay. But no, I said that I hunt alligators. I'm still a little confused, but at least the branch president thinks I'm really cool now haha. Anyways,  that explains the title.

Also, it was unbelievably hot here yesterday. Like I thought I was going to die and it was only like 80 degrees haha. One of the members told me that the weather was so nice and it got wayyyyy hotter. So pray for me lol. It's starting to heat up here.

This week was another week filled with miracles. We did exchanges again, I got to lead the area for a day with another missionary in his training. It was a bit rough, but we ended up finding more people than I ever have in a day which was absolutely crazy. We also put someone on date that we had found 4 days earlier. We went into the  lesson not expecting much, but we switched lessons in the middle because we just felt the spirit so strong, talked about baptism  and invited her to be baptized. She happily accepted and attended conference with her family 2 days later. It was such a miracle. And this weekend we had conference. And in Paraguay when it rains, everything just completely shuts down and we can't do anything. And it just happened to not rain at all during all of conference. Such a miracle.

Throughout this week, we worked super hard to invite tons of people to conference. Especially less actives. All of our friends came, and many less actives came. And I'm so happy because this conference was so special. Literally every talk was exactly what every one of our friends needed. I noticed big change in all of them after. The spirit was just so strong the whole time. During president Nelson's talk, everyone was crying and it was so special. Also, I got to watch in english which was so lucky.

I really loved elder rasband talk about the Book of mormon and how it needs to be central to our testimony. If we have a testimony of the Book of Mormon, we have a testimony that Joseph Smith was a prophet and that Christ is our salvador. I believe that reading the Book of mormon everyday is one of the most important things we can do. I've witnessed the power of the book of mormon that elder rasband talked about. In myself, and in my friends as they all read and I watch their testimonies steadily grow. I also really liked elder Stevensons talk about kind of the same thing. He said if we don't know what to say, just testify about Joseph Smith. I loved this because In every lesson when we talk about Joseph Smith and the first vision, the spirit just fills the room.

And of course, I absolutely loved president nelson's talk about covenants. How covenants give us power and rest during our lives. How our lives just get easier if we honor our covenants, and strive to follow christ. It was such a special talk from God's representative here on earth. I truly know that Russel M Nelson is a prophet of God. That he was chosen to lead the church in this time.

I hoped you all enjoyed conference as much as I did. It was truly special. I invite you all to really think of what the spirit was trying to tell you during the sessions and try hard to implement it into your lives.

Sorry that this was super long. And I could talk for so much more because this week was just soooo good. But I hope you all have a fantastic week! Ciao ciao!!
